Experience & compare 8 kinds of medicinal herb teas from Ibukiyama at Chitoseiro.
At the open kitchen of Chitoseiro, a long-established ryokan with a history of more than 150 years located in Yoro Park, visitors can compare eight kinds of herb tea made from medicinal herbs collected in Mt. Ibukiyama. The eight types of tea available are mugwort, dokudami, kuromoji, kakidoshi, naginata kouju, ibukijakousou, and hyakuso tea (a mix of dokudami, kakidoshi, mugwort, kuromoji, and native autumn tea). Visitors can learn about the benefits of each herb, compare colors and tastes, and fully enjoy the appeal of herb teas. When comparing the teas, you can choose your favorite cup from a variety of colorful tea utensils that remind you of Chitoseiro’s history.
